This is the first snowflake Mandala of the season...fittingly I dubbed this rendition "Blue Christmas!"
These projects are always fun and very relaxing. I turned my young nephew onto this hobby and he's already sending me pics of his finished pieces to compare with mine.
I started this piece off as I normally do with most of my others...from the center, working my way to the outer edge...but then I decided to take a different approach.
I decided to color in the negative space, leaving the snowflakes color free...thereby making them stick out against the backdrop.
I received a great deal of positive feedback when sharing the finished piece with friends and family...so there may be a few more of these in the future.
My nephew liked it so much he redubbed it Jack Frost...said it made him cold just looking at it...LOL
