A Local Art Gallery Visit!
I went to visit a local Artist in his gallery earlier today in Antibes, in the South of France. Everything is organically made by Chris Cook using different natural materials like bronze, copper or iron oxides. He also uses Earth, Sand, Indian ink, Grains and Charcoal, all on canvas;- he comes up with some pretty awesome stuff! :)
Save Fuel - Ride A Camel! this one's not on display but i like it alot, it's good, solid advice for everyone!
lines and lines and lines and lines! different natural stains on plastered hessian strips
this one's mad, it started life as a table cloth! it shows the last few months of work that's happened on it if you look closely, quite a bit of papier mache was going on, its also the biggest piece in the gallery, measuring around 6 feet wide!
this one is coooool! plaster background, then more plaster plus a hessian circle all coloured in different natural stains and dyes
close up of the last piece, love how everything sticks out a bit and isn't just a flat 2D painting like normal artists paint.
there is also a few miniature versions of some of the bigger paintings, they make awesome gifts for loved ones!
