Drawing Challenge#5/ Hands/ Challenge by @Helene
Yesterday I came across this interesting challenge by @Helene so I decided to join it, since last month I started something new.
I tend to make several different pieces with hand subject.
Hands do tell so many stories if we watch them closely..Young, old, hardworking, nervous, still, reaching, refusing, protecting..And always there is some story of emotions they tell..
First I made background in watercolors, watered square shape using large flat brush, and than started adding color on the edge of water square. Unfortunately I haven't made photo of it since I didn't think at that time of this post :)
Left color to do it's way, intervening on some parts with taking off too much water or color.
After it dried I sprinkled some color from brush over it.
And at the end made pencil drawing of hands.
And when I was satisfied with drawing started doing watercolor layers of hands.
Here is final piece I made on Fabriano paper 300gr, White nights watercolors.
Very beautiful! Lovely hands! :) Success!
thank you @aci7, must admit it, wasn't easy job :)
beautiful, good luck! :)
thank you @marty-arts :)
Hands are hard to draw/paint and if something isn't right, everyone notices immediately. You did great. Nice painting over all too :-)
@reinhard-schmid, thank you, and yes it wasn't easy drawing and work, but where is the thrill if everything goes easy :)
Haha... well, not sure about that. I have to admit, that I don't mind, when something isn't too hard to do 🍳
Gorgeous colours and such a light touch!
