Inspired to make a new journal entry today and thus, let me share with you how I made it together with the materials used.

YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!

I am thankful for my mother's life for she had been constantly reminding us ever since we were small that no one can snatch us from the hands of God.

We are His children and that He loves us so much. That even if they as our parents will pass away in this world, we should still rejoice because He will be our guide, He will comfort us in our despair and He will look after us.

I have this written on the tablet of my heart and thus, I am also glad to have it imprinted on the pages of my journal.

Of course, I am glad to share it with all of you.

I usually start sketching the quote I want to write. I use here my Faber-Castell refillable mechanical pencil. The strokes are really light and that it to be very easy to be erased.

Here's another angle.

Then I start outlining it with my Sakura Pigma pens. I forgot which one I used, my decisions matter depending on my mood. Sometimes, I would finish outlining everything before filling it up with colors or sometimes I do it word by word.

Closer look. The pen used to fill up the shadow is my Artline Stix Brush Marker in Magenta. It is really good to use a brush pen or marker in filing up spaces or shadows as it makes the work easier.

Here, I have the entire word CHILD filled up with another color. I used here M&G Signme Aquarelle Brush in light pink color.

This is actually a set of 24 brushes which I bought in SM SeaSide Department store in their school supplies section.

Although I don't use it for calligraphy because the tip is super hard, I use it for coloring instead.

Aside from the M&G Signme brush pens, I also used a ZIG Art and Graphic Twin 0.8mm Purple Brush by Kuretake Co.

There I also used my uniball Signo White pen for some added effect. I really like this pen 'coz it allows me to add highlights and stuffs to my pieces.
