Steem Sketch - Pacific Rim 🤖
Today's sketch was heavily influenced by the movies Pacific Rim. Even though I haven't seen the second edition, what's cooler than giant robots fighting giant monsters? Also loved the visuals of the first movie.
So here was my original sketch:

I wish I had time to do a full color rendering. I used the image below as reference for this sketch. I wanted to get closer to the original design.
You actually learn so much just by studying a character like this. Watching it isn't enough.
You have to put your hands in the dirt and actually draw it!
Hopefully I learned a thing or two about giant robots today...
First thing that comes to mind is structure. There's no tricks here...
Every part of the machine have a role, is connected from one place to the other.¨
Good thing it was only a sketch. I could get away with a few scribbles. ;-)

I actually kind of dig the little differences in the mask on your version over the original, awesome sketches. Random use of the #science hashtag lol.
Thanks for the comment. I had tried the mask without the reference at first. That's why it's a little difference. I was thinking science fiction with the tag but it might not be the best one. Hehe sorry ;-)
