Apart from the analogy with other bodies, the one of the tree will always exert a singular attraction. And the body of an old or ruined tree, especially its trunk, seems to show very striking parts (by the way, some time ago I published some photos of me in Steemit with that motive). I remembered a heartfelt poem entitled A un elmo seco by the Spanish poet Antonio Machado.
Your photo highlights those surprising shapes that take the trunks and barks of trees, thanks to that close-up with accentuated light in the center or orifice, creating a perimeter of shadows. In the background, to the left, a crack lets us see the greenish branch (as in Machado's poem) and patches of sky.
