The plant is very beautiful; it looks like one that here (in Venezuela) is called "Christmas", and it is typical of that time. Certainly, what is photographically significant is not the plant, but the effects of the lighting: the halo of light that centers the plant and the tenuous shadows watered in the background until the end. However, I think much of that effect is due to the red of the plant's leaves and the brown of the pot. Very cozy photography.
