Inktober 2018 Day 10: “Flowing”

I used mechanical pencil, cool gray Copic Markers, Staedler pigment liner, and Zebra ballpoint

First up, grid the reference photo in the Drawing Grid app on my iPad:

Then, grid my work surface, 4”x 6” Strathmore heavyweight mixed media board:

Lay in basic sketch, making sure proportions are somewhat accurate, but like before, I’m not going for photorealism, but my own stylistic interpretation:

Basic pen before I render with the markers. Erase grid lines:

Start shading and rendering, using the brush tip on the Copic sketch markers:
