in #art6 years ago

Last few weeks I was able to share with you my capture images which is the Graffiti wall art. Now here I am sharing this new set of art I discovered during my travel in Talisay City called the Mosaic Wall Art.

For better understanding what really means by mosaic let me give you some idea about it. This information is not my own definition about the subject. I used web browser to search the meaning, even though I have a little idea about it. Just to provide the concrete description here are the context I copied and pasted from Wikepedia. Which the purpose is for reference purposes only.

Mosaic

A mosaic is a piece of art or image made from the assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It is often used in decorative art or as interior decoration. Most mosaics are made of small, flat, roughly square, pieces of stone or glass of different colors, known as tesserae. Some, especially floor mosaics, are made of small rounded pieces of stone, and called "pebble mosaics".

Mosaic is a form of art from the tons of kinds and how the artist express their passion and love to ART. They can use different material to create an amazing art pieces. They can apply their skills to any place and whatever medium with or with out distinct result.

Artist also have their own specialization how they showcase their talent in painting, making sculptures, molding clay and whatsoever.

Subject doesn't matter as long as they can manage to accomplish an art using the available resources. One of the example is the mosaic wall art, where you can create an image like a painting using different objects. Like pebbles, stones, tiles, broken glass, and etc.

Mosaic and Mural paintings have something in common in terms of the location or certain spot. Where your naked eye can glimpse in a matter of second. The only difference mosaic can use paints to color on top of the object, but in Murals they use the paints alone to draw the subject or an image.

Mosaic paintings can be found in some establishment, basilicas, cathedrals, old churches and even cemeteries. It visible to walls, ceiling, corners and even on the floors it depends on the materials they used. If you read my previous post about the last supper they make a combination mosaic sculpture. Those structures is coated with small porcelain tiles and to show you how it looks like. Here is one the image I captured during my visit to that place.

So much respect and admiration to those artist who created this detailed and precise mosaic art. At first sight it look easy but in order to achieve these result dedication and strong discipline are highly required. I can't imagine how they cut those tiles into small pieces and place on it accordingly by color.

Sharing these amazing accomplishment of local artist here in Negros deserves attention. Where the only thing I can do for them is to share their work and let people see how they are great as an artists. So much love and passion are present to these crafts.
