Each winter, about 50,000 people visit this hotel to experience tranquility to see the aurora borealis and to practice all the activities that are offered in the most remote natural park of Europe, 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle.

I once saw a list of the world's most unique wedding venues and Sweden's ice hotel was listed there. I don't know if it's the same one, but if it is, I had no idea it had to be built every year!
Have you seen the ice museum in Alaska? It's open year round. I once saw a Travel Channel episode on it. They call it a museum because the owners are not legally permitted to own and operate an ice "hotel", but you can stay overnight in the museum. Pretty cool
