In Greek and Latin mythology the nymph is a divine spirit who watches over nature. They are always portrayed as young women who are wild and free. Nymphs were minor gods who could not die as mortals do, yet they could fall prey to death for other reasons. Satyrs often targeted nymphs due to the similarities in their personalities. I downloaded the statue model and added the specular colors, lighting, and reflective floor in Bryce to give this picture the look of being in a display setting. I love the way this statue is looking off into the distance. It makes me wonder where her thoughts are.
