Water Your Graffiti??
Howdy there folks and greetings from the great(in my humble
opinion) state of Texas! I found something interesting that I
wanted to share with you that I think is pretty dang unusual.
I had never heard of this but apparently there are artists out
there doing this kind of thing called "living graffiti, eco-graffiti
or moss graffiti."
The name Moss Graffiti explains it all and here is a recipe for it in
case you want to do artwork on yours walls with natural stuff.
All photos are from wikihow:
first you take 3 cups of moss( I don't know where you buy moss but
I'm sure Amazon has it!) and you mix that in an old blender to break it up.
now you add 2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups of plain yogurt + 2 cups of
water or 2 cups of beer + 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Now you blend this up
until it's liquid but thick like good quality paint.
now add corn syrup until it's thick enough to stay on a wall
pour into a bucket and get ready to paint it on
paint on your design
your moss is growing. you have to use a spray bottle to water it several
times a day.
your new artwork is all grown up! awesome.
The only problem with using this method on public property is that
I'm sure it's still illegal but you could use it on your house or fence
if you don't want to take the chance of gettin caught.
I hope ya'll enjoyed this little post, I think that moss as an artist's
medium is pretty fascinating but then I'm impressed by alot of things.
God bless you all and have a great rest of your weekend!

ps- you might just be a redneck if:
you think the French Riviera is a foreign car!
Pretty cool! We used to do it on rocks in the garden to make it look like they were there longer.
oh that's interesting, thanks @boboxer!

very interesting @boboxer, thanks for the comment and vote my friend!
How interesting @janton. Where are you putting this moss graffiti?
haha! I don't think I'm artistic enough to try this!
Cool. Sort of like the old "ghia pet" thing, huh?
Hey, is there no moss growing on the trees down in Texas?
come to think of it..I haven't seen any!
I've seen things like this over the web a few years back. Pretty amazing and receives a plus since it's a much greener way of expressing art. Thanks for sharing this! Would love to have an artwork like this in my own home, just dunno where to get those stuff needed for it (haven't researched thoroughly yet).
yeah they said you could buy moss but I haven't researched to find out where, I should have for the post. And yes it's environmentally friendly without all the harsh paint chemicals. It looks like it would take even more skill to do well though. thanks @deveerei!
I am sure the Cannabis movement may like to try this...... then light it up and smoke it.... lol
