howdy again @reddragonfly! wow this is really interesting and thank you for taking the time to expound on the situation. So the expression "starving artist" is more true than ever it seems. That's too bad. doesn't sound right.

Artists may not be starving any more than they used to, fortunately. Thanks to places like Steemit, Patreon and various others, artists now have "crowdfunding" sources they didn't have before.
