HERITAGE, final update. My Biggest Winter Painting Project Done.
And so it's done. And it does feel fantastic. Yesterday I delivered the final brushstroke to my 8x6 feet canvas which I'be been working on for few weeks.
In the short time that it's been published at social media my latest large painting has received quite a bit of acclaim. Not that it matters, but it confirmed my feeling that this painting came from the right place within me, without too much mind interference.
I also came up with the right name for it. HERITAGE. The DNA patterns of the tree roots appearing in the central part speak volumes about it. Heritage is in our roots, in our DNA, and it will be passed by our mother Earth Gaia (represented by the wisdom of Elephant and Rhino) onto future generations, represented by the couple of kids holding hands.
For those who missed my previous blogs on this painting, here is how I progressed step by step
:
central detail...that I ended up not liking so I covered it up
Fresh start again!
Final version just popped in my head and started to show on canvas
Just before final brushstrokes! Yess!!!
And finally done. The last day was a 10 hours painting marathon that I could just not interrupt until I knew it was over!
Feeling elated. The high is pumping through my veins as I enjoy the feeling of fulfillment from accomplished work!
I hope you like the end result of HERITAGE as much as me!
I will be the central piece of my next exhibition in April.

Phew!!! When you took out the central part last time, I had thought it was perfect. But looking at the final result now, it proves that often times, we'll have to follow our heart.
I am with my friend @joshuaetim now, so I just showed this to him. I think you took his breath away. I love this Jan, I really do. Never go down man, always aspire higher.
Yeah, I really found it captivating. It's amazing to know that this was made with human hands. Well done @jankasparec
Amazing! The process must've taken some serious patience. The detail is deep and the colors work great together. The Rhino and the Elephant exude power and create a balanced focal point. Excellent work all around. Following and a upvote.
