FOREST LIGHT finished! Super Stoked About The Final Result!!
This painting made me really happy. It didn't take too much time to do and the flow was smooth like spreading a warm butter on a slice of freshly baked bread.
3x2 feet is a nice average size, not too small and not that large (also not that expensive compared to my bigger works). Most of my work always was panoramic format (wider than taller) but in last year or two I took a great pleasure at painting tall paintings. It fits many narrow walls while the height can remain tall, even up to 6 feet, so keeping the size formidable, while being able to fit in almost every dwelling.
I know it sounds weird when I say this about my own art but I really fell in love with this painting when I saw where it's headed. As many of your know, I don't consider my paintings really "mine" since they were given to me, same as the holy grounds of this planet, that we sometimes so foolishly call "ours" (and treat it like shit for that matter...).
It must be something about that magical soothing effect of the light falling through a forest. The sunlight filtered by the green branches emanates the atmosphere of serenity and peace, as if whispering: "Forget about the hardships, just be here with me in the magical NOW, everything is fine and you ARE LOVED."....
As I said today on my Instagram profile, I am not always a peaceful person, but I do know how to paint peace.....which is a blessing beyond words.
Infinite gratitude for that!
For those who missed my first post on the progress, here is how I proceeded from day 1:

And the final cherry on the top of the cake (after working the branches and light a bit more): flying OWL:
Detail of the owl
My girlfriend does not like owls because of a funny (bit sad but truly funny still) story from her childhood, so I hope this won't disappoint her. But maybe it's just my clumsy way of telling her: Hey, you should give owls another chance, they are awesome!
I hope you feel the peace in the piece!
Much Love to all of you,
Thank you for all your support,

Really nice , Love it
It brings the peace to the world. As long as you don't paint the owl which has something like goldfish in its throat, then the owls deserve the chance.
haha. The golden fish story is coming alive :D
I never find the right words to express what your paintings make me feel. But I guess "peace" is a good start. By the way this made my day
P.S: Tell your girlfriend that owls are the best
Haha I will ! Thank you so much Gaby! Love that owl! :P
Not as beautiful as the one you created but at least it made you smile!
Beautiful piece, attention to details. You have this gift of giving life to your painting. If you stare at it long enough, you will feel the peace we experience when looking at nature. I never knew I could love art so much, but some people like you and my ex-boss have turn art into a passion for me.
Thank you Jimmy Jam! :)
This might be my favorite yet, seeing the early stuff compared to the finished product blew me away. The columns of light through the trees is an awesome effect and I love the coloring. Hats off man
Thanks Jake! Much Love!
la obra se ve muy natural, las dimensiones del lienzo deben estan en funcion a la obra a ejecutar, del buho llama la atencion, la altura, generalmente observan desde lo alto y luego van sobre su objetivo, saludos
Gracias Luis! Si tienes razon y buen ojo!
Unbelievable beautiful <3
wow! excellent painting. I like the art very much.
Thank you!
If an owl flies through the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? It doesn't. Quietest bird in flight. Great work!
Very nice painting thanks for sharing
