An Interesting Flower "The Flower of Hell" (Drawing + Brief History)

Hi,

Today I present this drawing that appears in an anime called TOKYO GHOUL, it is Lycoris or also called the flower of hell which is today to the presentation:

It is a flower whose scientific name is lycoris radiata, it is red color which has the margin of the wavy petals, can reach fifty centimeters high and grows in shady and humid areas, on slopes, rocky places, on the shores of water currents and is distributed in China, Korea, Nepal and Japan. </ center>

Symbolism

It is associated with loss, longing, abandonment and lost memories. Lycoris radiata is traditionally associated with death in order to make the transition to a new life in Japanese society, which is why it is present in cemeteries. Here I am going to present one of the Chinese beliefs and because Japan associates it with death:

Chinese legend:

The soul separates itself from the body and begins to walk without any path, without knowing that it is dead until an angel arrives to take it to the judgment court. Then, the soul will have to pass the Hell Road full of lycoris radiata (Flower of Hell).

These flowers give the soul the last chance to see all the memories of his past life, until the road ends at the Yellow Creek, at this point he takes the water from the Yellow Creek. After drinking it, the soul forgets everything about its past life and is ready to go to the final judgment and determines its next life

the Japanese believe that the lycoris radiata is related to death also because they grow in the feast of the ancestors

Draw first the sketch of the drawing in which I made like the skeleton or the base of what I was going to do

I did highlight everything with pen to better imprison the image and have more consistency

color the drawing and I put a combination of colors red, orange and pink, then color the rest and so we come to the end
