QuickDraw | Shading Page 29 from the Raising Dragons Graphic Novel

Raising Dragons Graphic Novel available now!

I illustrated Raising Dragons (by Bryan Davis) into a graphic novel. This session of Quick Draw demonstrates me shading page 29 in Manga Studio EX 4 and a Wacom Bambo Fun Drawing Tablet.

It took me an hour and a half to shade panel 1. The entire page was easily 3-4 hours of total work. This is the last stage of the process of creating a comic book page. Pencils - Inks - Colors - Shades & finishing touches. I like to add the text during the inking stage, but some people do it after the shades.
