The Guillermo Del Toro exhibit was in town. The lobby was busy and there were line ups filled with excited fans!

The "Crimson peak" costumes caught my attention, they were absolutely beautiful...the textile of the dress were so rich , the shape and patterns of the victorian era was an influence. They were attractive! This inspires me greatly as a independent costume designer.

It was dark and surreal, his work is amazing and inspiring. I wonder what Guillermo imagines during his creative process.

He dug deep into the topic childhood & innocence with lots of memorabilia, the movie "The panslabyrinth" features a child as the main character lives in a fantasy world trying to escape the real world. It's very twisted with the art of the afterlife.

He had some featured artists displayed in his exhibit, and a ton of unique oddly antiques and trinkets. The sculptors were realistic, they had small details that had texture of realistic skin and hair.

After the exhibit I explored around the museum, they have a beautiful modern spiral stair case. My favorite part was the European art. I loved the religious paintings and monuments early 1400's - late 1700's. Medieval, Elizabethan Era, Renaissance, Baroque are my favorite European historical times.
