ORIGAMI

Today I am happy to share my Origami and Paper crafts with all of you.
The word origami (折り紙) means "ori" to fold and "kami" paper. It becomes Ori(G)ami due to some morphological rules.

For many generations, this tradition has caught the interest of the world.
The concept is turning a flat piece of paper into a folded piece of art.

Materials:

• You can use any thin piece of paper, recycled paper, newspaper or stationary paper for origami.
• For my other paper crafts, I used crepe paper and some butterfly ornaments.
• Cutting materials like scissors and cutters, glue, tape, styro balls, glass jar, floral wire and other little decorations you like to add.

Practice

We have origami books, I practiced on scratch paper first. Creating this sunflower and rose. You don't want to waste any good origami paper so best save trees by reusing old scratch paper.

Create

Here is a sample of my gift decoration. I needed to give a friend a gift and I didn't have any ribbons. I improvised.
The roses are made with different colors, the concept is dark to light.

Personally, origami has been part of my childhood and I incorporated these designs in my recent arts and crafts such as these designs amd in anime.
