Six Sad Stories in 6 Words - Part 2 of 6 - An Illustrated Series from J-VO
Hello fellow Steemers - I have come today with part 2 in a 6 part illustrative series.
For those who did not see part one - I explain where the 6 word story comes from and provide more reference material about the 6 word story speculatively attributed to Hemmingway as the first to publish a novel with this technique. This fun yet challenging literary trend creates a goal is to push a writer achieve a complete literary work in only 6, extremely influential words. These words set the reader up with everything they need to completely fill in the blanks and write the unknowns for themselves. For those who have read the first post in this series I will leave the backstory there and move on to the good stuff! :)
Part 2
This illustration was created in the same fashion the other was created. Pen and ink using a speed ball quill pen and a few different pen nib heads plus a bottle of standard liquitex blank ink. I applied the water color wash and brought it into the computer to build the gif below. I love to use smooth ultra white bristol board for my illustrations, it is one of my favorite surfaces for pen and ink work.
I forgot to mention the size in the first post from this series - in case anyone is curious, these are each done on individual 10"x10" smooth, bristol board panels.

I hope you enjoyed this one! Stay tuned for the 4 remaining stories as I publish them in this 6 part series!

Thank you :) My style is kind of all over the place - my illustration teacher used to rag on me cause all my pieces look different or use a different visual style to express a mood or feeling.. so as I post other stuff you will see what I mean - anyway, thank you for your sweet compliments :)
