ShortArt #1 : David Hockney & $US 80 Million
New series of post about art, just news from this world that sometimes seem very far from ours (at least, mine) as with this auction. Christie's during its November sale in New-York want to sell "the most expensive work of art of a living artist".
Preparatory photograph, 1972
The painting is mythical and comes with a love's story. "Portrait of an Artist / Pool with Two Figures" was made by David Hockney after his breakup with Peter Schlesinger, also his favorite model for five years. It appears, in memory, on the right of the canvas. On the left, a swimmer. This is a collage.

It's $US 80 million to hang in your living room. If Christie's succeed, it would surpassed the Ballon Dog by Jeff Koons sold in 2013 for $US 58.4 million (November 12, 2013, during Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale in New-York).
Will this painting be sold ?
