Artifical Intelligence Assisted Lanscape Painting

Professionaly I am a data scientist which means I work with AI. I also dabble as an artist in my spare time, I thought what could be cool is to try use AI as a tool to help with my paintings.

I created a Generative adverserial network to make paintings in low resolution on a dataset of various landscape paintings.
Here is a video of the AI learning to paint :D

I then took one random image and decided to use this to paint on.

I upscaled the image, then sampled colors from it and made this painting.
