Tyson made well into 9 figures over the course of his boxing career and lost all of it, due to theft from Don King and Tyson's "friends" who helped "manage" his career, as well as Tyson's own inability to manage his money, which is common among young superstar athletes.

Tyson seems to have found peace in his older years and is doing well financially. His Broadway show did well and he is doing a sequel to it.
