I feel you. Since starting my Singularity series, I find myself spending a day on the folds of a dress or painting damask details on a sofa for a dog to sit upon. I love that we can get lost in the detail, though. It is like a magic place we artists have a key to and it lives outside of time, and one can enter for what seems a few moments only to see the light has moved across the studio floor and one's tea has gone ice cold.

It looks like you are working on a sculpture! The dimension and light is nothing short of exquisite. The neck and chest detail is such an inspired fusion of the antiqued past and the mechanized future.
