Very beautiful! Very mysterious and surrealistic! :)
Thank you Monica!
Actually I feel there is something different (less alienish?) about this one but I still like it. :)
Well, women can sometimes appear like aliens from other planets! :-)
A princess of hell is dreaming... how many poor men is she going to drag to her inferno? How many lovers will be scorched by the flames that burn in the bottom of her soul?
She doesn't seem that dark, though. There is plenty of light. Maybe she's not that "hellish". Her body is heaven, the white shades reveal the essence of an angel, but the burning crack on the earth, maybe it's her personal demons, the flames that tortured her in the past (some may still hurt her in the present), but she seems so serene, as if she got over all of that, or trying to get over all of that or dreaming is the only way to get over all of that...
Sorry, I started babbling again :P
Thank you @ruth-girl! When I started this piece I didn't really have a clear concept. I just knew I wanted to paint this nude embedded in some sort of organic structure. The dramatic volcano scenery then somehow happened. Today it looks to me like a book cover for a cheesy fantasy novel.
It seems like your inner "muse", the power that moves your hands while painting, did an amazing job! It's admirable how an obscure idea evolves into a greater synthesis. I envy artists who get to depict the images in their head with such detail.
It could be a cover indeed, only you need to find a piece of writing worthy of such a promising picture...
I would get to stage one and be like:
"Lo! Look upon my art and see that this is the best thing I have ever created!"
...then I would never draw again.
You, however, go on to add yet more detail. Tremendous!
Thank you! :-)
Very good! I like it. I also find it a little bit similar to the work of Beksinski I described here https://steemit.com/art/@m-san/impressive-art-of-polish-painter-zdzislaw-beksinski
Thank you for sharing. I'm following you from now on. :)
OMG what a great painting! Amazing work! 👍🏻:)
Thanks!
not very large - I like your small panels - and in the details, one can appreciate the painterly approach.
This was my favorite format back then. Today my eyes are giving me troubles with the details.
You need glasses - a sign of age (that's when it started for me). I used to have vision like an eagle. Now I need 2.5 reading glasses. Can't see nothing without. Don't have it here in Austria, but back in Canada I used a lighted magnifying glass (same as dentists use).
I'm using these:

I can see several stories behind this painting. One with humans being trapped digital space came to my mind immediately when seeing the first images. What was/is your story when you created it?
Love it!
Thanks!
