This GIF-animation is based on my small acrylic piece "Nexus" which I painted in 1997 (find more details about the painting here: http://gric.at/gallery/bild103.htm). I superimposed a time lapse video of thunderclouds I shot a couple of days ago from the balcony of my studio.

Does crypto art give the holder the right to display or use the art or is it more of a support the artist type of thing?

I'm still not sure I understand the whole concept. However, you certainly don't purchase the copyright with the artwork, so in my perception you can display it as long as you don't do this commercially. What you can do is to sell it for a higher price. It can be seen as an exotic variant of crypto assets.
