The story behind the art, the story of Jwook(sic0830)

This is an artwork submitted on the Artisteem contest : “A switch of ideas in everyday life”

I don’t know if you guys know but in South Korea there is a mandatory military services for male citizens lasting between 21 and 24 months. Only three countries in the world have a longer military service period. It is an event that truly shapes the lives of young men in South Korea
The author of this artwork is named Jwook, he is from South Korea and is 21 and he is going to start his service really soon.
Jwook is not a professional artist, he was inspired by the work of Stephen Mcmennamy often called “combophoto” which was also the original inspiration for this Artisteem contest. Before this contest he we was not doing any art related work, but by entering this contest he found within himself a passion and a talent for art.
It is a wonderful story and shows that we may all have a creative talent hidden within ourselves.
