Graphite "La Santa de Belgrade"

"La Santa de Belgrade", mural was done in black and white technic by the French artist Giom Olbi (his artistic name is REMED). Mural symbolizes the patron saint of Belgrade. Everything is in black and white except for two details. Between the feet lies the broken egg, which is the symbol of life and civilization, and above the head is the sun that also symbolizes life. One hand holds the city to protect it, while the other hand has a hidden pistol in his sleeve and wants to destroy it.
The artist learned that Belgrade in its history has been demolished and rebuilt many times. It was his inspiration for this work.

Mural was created in 2008, it is 20 feet high and 8 meters wide.
