How I Draw Doraemon
Hello Steemians
Today I’m going to show you my step by step on how I draw Doraemon from the famous anime in 1990’s
Doraemon
When I was a kid I used to watch this movie every morning since it is played in one of the leading tv station in the Philippines. I always envied doraemon at that time because he has a lot of interesting things on his pocket; one time I tried my mother’s apron that has a pocket in front, I put my hands in the pocket hoping I will get something that is interesting but instead I got nothing. Haha
For me Doraemon teached us good morals and right conducts espeacially on how he easliy forgive Nobita and how he helped Nobita’s family ever since he came to their lives.
Materials Used
6H graphite pencil
Eraser
Bond paper
0.2 Technical pen
Watercolor-coloring pencil
Work in Progress

I made a circle then I put a parallel lines in circle for his necklace

Then I added 2 slightly curve lines for his body
I put a horizontal lines for his pants and a little reverse U for the separation of his pants/legs. Then I continued on creating a small circle and 2 slightly curve lines for his right arm.

I added another 2 circle on him, one on his head and on his body that shaped like a pick on guitar. 2 rectangular or oval shaped for his feet/shoes and 2 oblong shapes for his eyes.

I continued on his smile and his cheekbone, then a small circle in between on his eyes.

A half-heart shape on his tongue then a big letter D for his pocket.

I continued on adding a saturn (planet) shape for the bell on his neck.

Then let’s start traving or inking. First, I started on his eyes

Then his face altogether with his bell on his neck

This would be the my final tracing or inking doraemon.

I used my newest art material that I bought in National BookStore in NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport). At first I wasn’t satisfied on the result of the coloring pencil withouth knowing that it was a watercolor pencil since I thought I chose the artist’s pencil. So I tried dipping it on water just the tip though and I was shocked on the outcome since it is more viibrant and vivid rather than without using the water.

I continued all over his head that is color blue.
I was so happy for the result

I continued on his body color blue. Then I colored his nose by color red.

Yellow color for his bell on his neck.

I continued on his necklace by coloring it to color red.

And also red for his mouth, instead of using red or pink on his tongue I colored it by color orange to make a little difference.
So this is my final output for my doraemon!
That would be all guys!
Thank you for stopping by!
