RE: Sorrow Adrift: My very First (Non-Steemit-Comp) Poem
Thank you. It's actually my first, non-steem-comp poem. I'm not very confident that I write anything of worth just yet.
I really relate to the sentiment of you piece- "It's Only a Wordpress Poem" - brilliant.
I really felt that bus vibe too, I've definitely taken that ride before.
I checked out Stevie Smiths poem, Its lovely. I have only just begun reading poetry, I really haven't before.
It's Only a Wordpress Poem - reminds me of Bob Dylan's spoken word tracks. Your relatable everyday commentary style is the kind of poetry I would like to read and eventually write.
If you have any suggestions for reading I would be most grateful. I look forward to following your posts.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
😊
I've finally got around to writing about TSELiot:

You're writing is of tremendous value!
re: It's Only a Wordpress Poem ... you know it's just a re-working of the Beatles' It's Only a Northern Song? I suppose that makes it a kind of a found poem. And very Dylan-era.
I couldn't possibly recommend anything for you to read, your writing is so strong. But for me, one milestone was realising that I didn't like TSEliott, and why, and then there was finding The Last Ringbearer (PDF), which made me think of Tolkien as "fake" fiction.
Hi
I just spotted your new tag - justapoem. I love it! I can't seem to be able to initiate a comment on my phone, I can only respond, so am writing here.
It is humble yet bold. Undressing the post and allowing the words to speak for themselves without embellishments. I really like it 👍
I use images in my poetry because I don't believe my writing is strong enough to stand alone. I aspire to use your tag in the future. strip away all the decorations that compensate and try to apply a more disciplined approach to words.
Thank you
Your writing is wonderful! And so is your art, and the poems and the drawings so obviously belong together. But in many cases the photos seem to be just padding, and when they come in the middle of a poem ... Well, anyway: Did you read the poem I mentioned?
