Mini-Viral with Terence McKenna
"Very interesting things are happening in the utter blackness behind your eyelids while lying still in silent darkness, and that is where the mystery comes from and goes to." Terence McKenna, "The Archaic Revival"
Terence McKenna had a huge influence and following during his life time. He continues to have a solid fan base as we found that out in 2010. Dim Media painted a 45" x 40" fractal portrait of him in our "Series Wizards, Blasphemers, and Aethernauts" series. We started getting hits and links across the web from our website and McKenna memes using our painting. It was rad. Even his archivist/biographer emailed us up to utilize and include our painting for his 'Companion Guide to Terence McKenna,' which will include essays, interviews, and book reviews.
Painting of Terence McKenna - one of our heroes.

Painted with a mix of florescent and non florescent acrylics so he glows under black light.
This image has been used for a lot of memes online. Feel free to use it, but please credit "Dim Media".
Currently, this painting is on display at Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive in NE Minneapolis. It also makes an appearance in the "All Over The Walls" documentary along with Tim Leary: "Cyber Punk." Which, oddly didn't quite have the same enthusiastic level fan base. Or the painting wasn't received quite as well. Either way, it was fun watching the life of a piece continue to live after completion.
