Paranormal Island, digital collage.Entry for ART EXPLOSION WEEK 51.

Paranormal Island 2, Judgment day is a digital collage i created for the art explosion contest. The theme of the week is Paranormal and i had the idea to make an imaginary poster for a b-movie.
I did not want to make something scary because to be frank it is not my specialty, i wanted to go more in the satirical way a little bit funny and with a feeling of nostalgia about those old posters that i used to love when i was younger.

I used photoshop to create the artwork and as a basis an older collage from another project, i mirrored the original artwork and that gave me the idea of Paranormal Island 2, the sequel. That inspired more to put the ufos along with the dinosaurs to double the horror and double the fun. I also wanted to put some cast lettering like an actual movie poster but i do not have the skills and patience to create them from scratch, so i ripped it from Terninator 2. Now i have James Cameron directing my movie and Arnold Schwartzenegger starring, what a movie:)
This artwork also gave me the opportunity to work more with filters in order to make the poster old and withered by time.
