Japan's Cultural Week - Bazaar and Exhibition
Japan's Cultural Week is an event held annually in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, with the purpose of introducing the traditions of this interesting country. The event is organized by the embassy of Japan in collaboration with government agencies.
It is usually structured in a week or more days of activities. There are contests, presentations, exhibitions, music, gastronomy, games, among others. Spaces such as the BOD tower and Hacienda la Estancia have been hosts to this activity that brings together all kinds of people interested in this rich culture. The Japanese people in the country and their descendants make presence and collaborate with many of the event's activities. The Japanese College of Caracas also participates every year with an act that involves all its students and teachers. It is an enjoyable, traditional event for the whole family.

Bazaar and Exhibition
During the two main days of the cultural week of Japan, a bazaar was established with all kinds of merchandise and material on display. The artistic works on paper like origami figures caught a lot of attention. The Venezuela's Association of Japanese Teachers drew up calligraphy for visitors at the event. There was also tasting of some typical dishes of social activities such as festivals and fairs.

Various objects of Japanese culture were shown in the exhibition. A collection of calendars with all kinds of illustrations was presented, from the most artistic to the jovial ones. Also ceramic objects, dolls, zodiac sculptures, among other figures were on display.

Calligraphic works of idiograms, also part of the Japanese language, were presented at the exhibition. Words like love, patience, tolerance, God, and many others were in public view. In this culture, the brush strokes are as strong as those of the sword. It is a highly respected art that expresses much of the being who writes.
