The locals
Another round of locals collected this week. I've got, pharmacy guy, rough backwoods dude and a lady waiting at the DMV.
This mister had that classic 50s charm. Dressed for his picture like it was a middle school yearbook photo. This one just came from a picture on the wall and I couldn't resist the sort of "shaving cream commercial" look I was getting.
This friendly fellow was just propped up in the corner of a little convenience store. I think he was waiting for a sandwich.
Last but not least is this here lady I spotted while waiting for my number to be called at the DMV.
Sketchbook is king! There's nothing better than bringing a pad of paper out into the world for scratching down ideas and collecting little sketches of the people around you. I think the kind of inspiration that can be gathered from everyday life is a huge part of being an artist. I'm pretty varied in what I find beauty in just like anybody else but that's also what makes us all so unique!
What sorts of things draw you in?
