This painting I bought a few days ago at the Munich Winter Tollwood Festival. It shows the map of Syria as a chessboard. The two chessplayers are the USA and Russia.

The artist is Anwar Aljasem, a 30 year old refugee who has started up his second life one year ago in Germany. He was very nice and could already speak understandable German. We had a friendly conversation. Here you can see him:

Not many words more are necessary. Is war wanted by the people? I don't think so. It's always planned and executed by the states and their governments. Let's take away power from our governments and thus give peace a chance.
