Infinity is not a generally talked about subject and of course its not really a subject that pops up in conversation very often.

I and a few of my friends here and there do talk about infinity because we are the growing group of fractal artists who produce artwork like the image you see here.

The image, a fractal flame, is created based on mathematical formula in Geometry that when displayed as a graphical representation, becomes a somewhat unbelievable image.

Unbelievable because until the calculation was put into the process of Iteration, it was nothing but a maths problem waiting to be solved!
It is infinite in nature because you could keep repeating (Iterating) the formula and it would keep going and going into infinity.

Maths Nerd or Artist - Yes!

There are many who believe that in order to create something like this that you must be some kind of maths nerd and have to be able to work out complex formulations in Geometry.

Well, it turns out that the beauty of fractals is not having to be a genius maths professor or even a graduate with a maths degree.
The truth is, if you were, then it would make it even better to create this type of art.

It is simply not necessary to be that type of person and you could be a total maths dummy and still produce fantastic fantasy art!
All that is required to create art like this is an understanding of the software which is used to take the burden of multiple recurring calculations away from the user and let the user concentrate on producing an artistic image or scene based on artistic choices.

When you know the way to manipulate the settings in the program and have an artists eye for colour, form and perspective, the process is then similar to picking up a palette and brushes to paint onto a canvas.

This fractal image is created in a free software called JWildfire and runs on any system which can run Java, so that is most.
It takes a bit of getting used to the user interface, but not long and there are many samples which you can learn from as well as a growing community of users who are happy to help you understand and answer your questions.

Thanks for viewing!

I love this piece and love all your work @fractalizer. Fractal art always looks very musical to me. Infinite details, repeating pattern, very rhythmic. I have created a short piece of music inspired by your beautiful art. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you so much Bucky!! I am honoured that you got inspiration to create a piece of music from my art! I am definitely impressed! Thanks again!

My pleasure @fractalizer. I love your work. I can hear music with every piece you create :)

Use for your Steemit posts! Good for D/Load !

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.

To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.

To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as [steemit](https://steemit.com) Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.

This message was created by a bot. It is part of the ongoing fight against spam and phishing attacks on steemit. If you did not use short links in your post and feel you have received this message in error you can contact @fubar-bdhr on discord or @fubar.bdhr on steemit chat to report the issue.
