Apophysys lesson: Symmetrical patterns

in #art8 years ago (edited)

Hello!

Today I studied the program Apophysis.
In this lesson I will create a fractal with symmetrical patterns.

1. I open a new flame File-New, I select an empty sheet. By default, there is already one triangle. I change from it Weight to 2, I reset the default parameter linear and add the parameter boarders2 = 0,2:

In the Variables tab, I change the value of boarders2_c to 1:

2. I add 4 triangles (from 2 to 5), I leave them with the standard parameters:

image.jpg

3. Now I change the arrangement of triangles from 2 to 5, like this:

image.jpg

4. I add the sixth triangle. I do not move it, just reset the standard parameter linear and add julian = 0.6:

image.jpg

In the Variables tab of the julian parameter, change the value of julian_power to 7 and julian_dist to 1.5:

Here is the base fractal and is ready. It remains only to choose the color, brightness and scale:

I still decided to diversify the shades in the image, so I changed the speed of color by 0.5 for each triangle:

I save the received parameters so that in the future it would be easy to return to the initial state. Here is the basic fractal for the lesson:

5. Now I'm starting to make changes to the basic settings. After each change, I reload the base fractal.
In the 6th triangle, the parameter linear = 0.2 was added:

Result:

Apo7_X-171230-2.jpg

In the 6th triangle, the parameter julian was changed by 0.2:

Result:

Apo7_X-171230-3.jpg

Retained the received parameters and loaded the parameters of the base fractal. Now in the 6th triangle replaced the parameter julian by juliascope = 0.4:

Result:

Apo7_X-171230-5.jpg

Again I load the basic parameters. In the 6th triangle, instead of julian I try the parameter julia3D = 0.4:

image.jpg

Result:

Apo7_X-171230-4.jpg

The next return to the basic parameters and I try to set the parameter julia3Dz = 0.6 in the 6th triangle:

image.jpg

Result:

Apo7_X-171230-6.jpg

And the last return to the basic parameters. In the 6th triangle I try to set two parameters. julia3Dz = 0.5 and swirl = 0.2:

image.jpg

Result:

Apo7_X-171230-7.jpg

I liked this picture most of all.

So, I clearly showed you how to replace one parameter you can create something of your own from a basic fractal. This option is perfect for beginners.
