Today it is very difficult to find artists who evoke the memories of dream art, classical sculpture, and some of the elements most used in surrealist art is the least common in postmodernist art, the artist who presents you works these two themes claiming the death of an art that has lasted for centuries, I'm talking about the Korean artist named Lee Sol. Come with me to know what is most relevant in his life and work.
This artist who has achieved his success based on the use of social networks such as Instagram, has begun to influence strongly with his art between dreamlike and surrealist, 3D illustrations that are very colorful have many religious representations, classic sculpture his main muse, this made very clear in his work called Venus mansion. The experience is very fresh, it is impossible not to pay attention to his works.
On the other hand, he fuses pop culture figures like Kitty, many of the new followers sometimes do not know the origin of the icons used by Lee Sol, what they can appreciate is the theatricality and the historical connection that there is in each illustration, a fusion of kitsch, pop and surrealist, these mixed techniques are also uncommon which means that the rise of this artist is due to his creativity to connect several styles of arts in one.

It is probable as I said before that many people do not know that many of the characters used as Lee Sol are from the renaissance or Greek art, this phenomenon has occurred due to the incorrect use of social networks and because in some schools is not valued ancient art, this is also a problem because it is a cultural decadence where we are destined to consume images by social networks, images of false art on many occasions that create collective confusion. This has also happened in other eras of history with the difference that now there are social networks where there are millions of people connected.
That's why I find it interesting that this Korean artist has chosen these icons as a muse, contributes in the artistic field and contributes in the field of artistic education, while other artists assume new forms of making art many times without expressing something, we are facing a stagnation of artistic production and we can see this in museums, exhibition halls and art fairs, where we sometimes find things that have nothing to do with art, such as selling kisses, or a stain on the wall.
