Yesterday I printed out this cute super-girly-princess heart duo lip balm container. I wanted it in pink and luckily I have pink PLA filament. I also bought in the past pink diamonds, so I decorated this cute broken heart container with 42 pink diamonds.

The broken heart gets connected with magnets.

Printed pieces

First I glued the magnets with superglue.

Later on I glued the 42 pink diamonds on the sides of the heart. I glued them yesterday evening so the pictures are quite dark.

Homemade lip balm

This morning I made the lip balm with natural ingredients.

Ingredients

5% Cacao butter
10% Beeswax
30% Mango butter
25% Almond oil
30% Coconut oil
1 capsule of Vitamin E
0.5 teaspoon raspberry flavouring
Lipstick

First I disinfected the bowl and spoon. I weighted everything. I added only the solid oils ( cacao butter, beeswax, mango butter, coconut oil) and melted in the microwave for about 1 minute.

After that I stirred it and added the remaining ingredients without the lipstick. Here I squeezed the vitamin oil out of the capsule.

I poured half of it in the left container. I added a bit of my lipstick inside the bowl and melted in the microwave again for 15 seconds. I stirred it and poured it in the right container.

I let the containers in the refrigerator to get hard for 1 hour. I have now two lip balms. The left one has a natural colour and the right one is tinted.

I had some problems when printing the pieces. The sharp/pointy corners did not stick to the bed. This is not the design, but really a printing issue.

Despite the wrapping issue I had, I really like this princess broken heart duo lip balm container because it's just uber cute! I can see this in toy shops at the girls section.
