Charming Death [Traditional Drawing + Process]
Do you know... I sometimes do Traditional paintings. More complex than only pencil and ink ?. .
Greetings Steemit friends. Today I want to share with you, my most recent work on traditional media.
Charming Death, Is a traditional painting piece I did alongside with another one. Where, on these. I try to show my desire to die. Literally, I try to represent how I would like to give myself to the Death (I show it as a guy). With a hug, charming and frightening, but beautiful at the same time (that is why the nude and the roses) It would take me to a calming place, where I could find peace. Because for me, at that moment, Life didn't had sense.
Well... aparting the horrible meaning of this. Here I'll show you the process I followed for finish this piece.
Disclaimer: This should be tag as a NSFW content because, boobies. But I would prefer censor everything myself. Honestly, it is because I don't want this piece to be ignores as the other nsfw I did.
In any way I want to clarify this kind of pieces, despite they are little, this take some days in complete it. So it is very possible all the photographs are from different days.
- The Procedure-
1. After the inking of the lines and the general piece. The first thing I did was the body of the girl. This was the first day progress. I used mostly peaches and browns hues, Shown in the photography.
Roses detail inking. I wanted to draw many roses; despite I know it would be difficult to paint. But I imagine it would turn out beautifully.
2. Later on, from the in front character. I color the roses. I used a lot of references and this part was especially exhausting. So many little details.
3. With the girl and the roses done. Next step is the another character. My representation of Death. I didn't go so far, stayed classic. Black. The fabric is for not ruin to much the parts already done.
4. Last step is the background. I honestly wanted this very Dark, with that mournful atmosphere. But there was not any color black enough that could satisfy my darkness need. So. I use other type of materials.
That's it. For the background I used, Make up. Specifically, Eye shadow. Using a lip balm as "glue" for the eye shadow. I used this combination for doing the background.
Resulting like this.
This is the scan version in the PC edited. This edit process is for only pop up the colors of the piece. Sadly, traditional pieces suffer when you digitalize them. Scanner and photography loves to eat colors of this kind of pieces.
To be honest. I miss doing some traditional Art pieces. My desk is tiny and it isn't comfortable anymore for doing this kind of pieces. I have to curve my back for several days for complete one piece. My backaches aren't normal. But I would love doing more of these.
