Dear Steemians, for today's artist of the day, we are taking to you all the way to beautiful Venezuela! Today is the 2nd day of our 8th-week highlighting deserving artists from this community.
We are still small and young but we intend on expanding as we give this community artists a platform to shine in every supportive post we put out.
What would life be without art? A dull, meaningless existence.
What would art be without life? An empty, white canvas.
This blog is here to bring you all these beautiful, imaginative creatures that use their skills to express themselves through their work.
Our Artist of the Day:
On the second day of our 8th week, meet Joel Gonzalez from Merida, Venezuela. He is a hyperrealist and impressionist painter, musician, photographer, and a martial artist. All of this at the age of 18 years old. He's a self-confessed coffee addict and harbors dreams of traveling all through Europe with his work.
His blog tells a tale of talented hands with realistic portraits. His sketching pencils bring drawings to life while portraying his attention to details. This is what makes his work feel so real like in these four-months-old realistic portraits of Bruce Lee and Johnny Deep.
Here is his latest post based on the comedy series, the 3 stooges which aired from 1922 to 1970! Check it out and share your thoughts.
We leave you with a quote from his introduction post four months ago... "Art is the greatest legacy a father can leave to his son." Do you agree?
Do you have an artist that you find undervalued?
Is there anyone you think their work deserves a lot more?
Don't hesitate to leave a comment below!
If you suggest an artist we haven't mentioned before, you get a shout out when we highlight them plus a 100% vote from us. It's currently worth around 0.07.
Remember it has to be their ORIGINAL works to qualify.
