Thanks for the kind words @manouche! And thanks for taking the time to read the post. Yes the concept of the spherical book was still pretty abstract in a lot of these works. It was just a means-to-an-end for us, a way of discussing the way that all design is interconnected and how a single object could have an effect on everything around it. In drawing form, for instance, imagine how a circle drawn in a certain location on the page will effect everything that is drawn around it.
But yeah we never ended up designing an actual spherical book, it just became a concept to build our design theories around :)
Ahhhh. Okay, now I get it. Is that why the frames in the exhibition are a 45 degree rotation of a square? It's an interesting concept and a great way to question the design of our surrounding as well. Looking forward to more!
