Z = Z² + C simple but genius - the beauty of fractal math #002
Z = Z² + C simple genius mandelbrot formula
The ‘Father of Fractal Geometry’ is the mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot who studied and popularized it.
A Mandelbulb is a 3D manifestation of the Mandelbrot set. It is an infinitely complex, naturally occurring fractal object.
Todays fractals show a geometry of fractal set, with emphasis on the Iterated Function System (IFS) formalism for generating 3d dimensional fractals. Instead of just a slice we calculate the whole structure. It also contains infinitely detailed worlds of baroque splendor that pose mathematical questions unanswered even today. We can use the formulas to calculate, but we have no idea why and how the fractals self organize in this endless beauty. A mystery even for fractal scientists.

Of the first three, I'm impressed by the mechanical structured nature of the first, the spiritual quality of the second, and the organic feel of the third.
The fourth one has many right angles, which aesthitically is not pleasing to my soul. It has curves, but not in the same way the previous three have curves. Right angles communicate artificiality to me. I'm not a fan of the artificial. I like the sincerity of the organic. :-D
Thank you, seablue for the feedback, the second is the sliced mandelbrot classic, the forth is made of boxes indeed many right angles. Maybe I should load the organic setting and dive into the spheroids to have a closer look. :)
Thanks for sharing.
I love mandelbrot things..
And this "city" is amazing:
This is an awesome art. Its really amazing photo and also creative art. I really impressed your art photography.
