Working with Alcohol Inks - Original Art
I've been really enjoy working with alcohol inks and YUPO paper lately. The way the colours can separate out from each other as the alcohol rapidly disperses across the non-absorbent surface and evaporates, creates some amazing effects.
It can be difficult control at first, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Personally I enjoy embracing the chaos and seeing where the inks take me.
Made these using:
- Tim Holtz alcohol inks
- 5x7 YUPO paper

very cool! I love abstract art like this.. it's like staring at the clouds and finding pictures in it.
-reminded of looking at the stains of blood cells under the microscope at my job in a lab :)
Glad you liked it! I enjoy seeing patterns and pictures in imagery as well, haven't spent much time looking at stains of blood cells. Sounds pretty metal though.
Those effects are really faszinating. Great work!
Thank you! Yeah, I've been really enjoying working with this medium.
The first photo made me think about sandwiches.
The green is like pickles and salad, pink and brown are like meat.
Yum!
Haha never looked at it that way, i like your interpretation :)
This looks amazing! This reminds me of the water marbling technique for the nails haha :)
