David Hockney, (Bradford, 9 July 1937) is an English painter, designer, set designer, printer and photographer. He lives in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, and Kensington in London.1 Hockney maintains two residences in California where he lived seasonally for 30 years: one in Nichols Canyon, Los Angeles, and an office on Santa Monica Boulevard2 in West Hollywood.34

He was a major contributor to the movement known as Pop Art in the 1960s and was considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century.
