Fierce Cyber Usagi
Hi guys here is one of my latest drawings which I made, you guessed it, during class. I am so busy that the only time I get to draw is when I teach. I make short posts on Steemit because I’m so busy. A lot is expected of me but no one really wants to pay up so I have to volunteer for free trials etc. because apparently, that’s the least I could do. If you notice this is my first Steemit rant. I always try to bring you guys the positive aspects because I know that like me you’re struggling and mostly looking for entertaining content that will help you take your mind off of those hardships. When I talk about hardcore topics like global warming, I take the journalistic road of saying: this is what this expert thinks. I just don’t want to be the one to crush anybody’s dreams. We live in a world where problems just need solutions to fix them yet the reality is infinitely more complex than that. The more I accept about this reality we live in the more I have to recognize that I am but the observer. I have no idea what this has to do with my fierce warrior drawing but one thing where I find solace is in the empowerment of woman. Reversal (making a woman the fierce warrior instead of a man) is such an obvious trope of feminism but I still find it effective. We have lived in a misogynistic world for so long that something as simple as a super-heroine stays relevant through the decades, it is never dated. All you can do is to stick to your values and your sense of justice in hopes that they will resonate within a larger universe; a larger everything. Especially when you don’t expect things to change anytime soon and are bracing yourself because you think they just may get worse.
Prep & expect the worst has always helped me. I don't and never have seen the world through rose colored glasses. Not saying that is the healthiest mindset but hey. Doesn't mean i don't enjoy aspects of "life" as we're currently experiencing it, or limiting ourselves to experiencing (can go from a positive to negative scale)
I think a successful blogger who like us is using a wholistic approach as opposed to specializing in fashion or cupcakes needs to be real with their audience at times. Yesterday as I was writing this, I was hanging out with Anita who wants to obtain a masters of fine arts to become an art teacher. She got accepted at a prestigious school but she can’t afford it. We vented together about our hardships and it felt really good to find that artist solidarity. It is healthy to be negative sometimes, to just cut the BS and say it like it is. We met at this amazing vegan restaurant called Naam which is open 24/7. Isn’t that amazing. Like Cinderella, I had to jet as midnight was approaching and I still had to write this for my #postofthedaychallenge. Hopefully I don’t run out of wifi!
You're making me feel hungry. Lol. Yeah i wouldn't call myself "branded" to a certain subject at.all. i didn't know about that challenge. I agree about being real. I am too old for that other bs honestly and i'm not even "that" old
