My Monarch Butterfly
Good morning steemit and homesteader friends! I have drawn a monarch butterfly to start my good day. I hope you like it!
Monarch butterfly.
My process.
1. Draw the butterfly whole image using 0.5 mechanical pencil.
2. Color the fore wing in orange using staedtler colour pencil. Yellow color for the hind wing.
3. Shade the outer side of the wings with 2b pencil.
4. Darken the shade with 0.7 sign pen.
5. Color the small dots on the wings in orange, pink, red and yellow.
6. Darken the shade of orange and yellow color on wings.
7. Draw the other wings details. Apply yellow and orange color.
8. Highlight the pencil with 0.7 sign pen.
9. Apply same color on the fore and hind wings.
10. Shades the outer side of the wings with black 0.7 signpen.
11. Darken the shade of the butterfly body.

I have used my lamp shade for the shadow effect, and my "diy" cellphone holder for taking still shots on making a gif.
Cut out the wings to make it more realistic.
