"Ithaqa" Comic Book Update #72: We Have Submitted To Image Comics!
We have officially submitted Ithaqa Issue 1 to Image Comics!! Thank you everyone who has been keeping up with me since I first joined steemit. Your advice and feedback has been helpful AND has shaped the comic as it exists today. Theresa and I are in love with the steemit community, and you guys essentially financed the lettering for issue 1.
It's good to be back, the new steemit layout looks amazing, but anyway comics! We can see here that a riff is forming between Chuck and Harvey. One has to wonder if having a shared traumatic history is always a good thing when it comes to solving mysteries and falling in love. These two characters are the only ones as of yet who have experienced the horrors of the cosmos, so you can bet that they'll be integral to this investigation, even if they can't get along...
Meanwhile Hugo, Mookie, and Ruth appear to be getting along famously. As I finally was able to give Ruth some time to shine, she very quickly became one of my favorite characters to write. In issue 1 she is merely the cynical nurse, but here I start to give her a sense of humor.
Ruth also ultimately becomes the pre-eminent badass of the entire series. It's an evolution that's going to be fun to watch, but all the seeds for her growth are there. When the shit hits the fan, and blood is everywhere, you want a medically trained professional in your midst. You want someone whose entire career is based around not cracking under pressure.

Good luck! Certainly a top first choice to shoot for. Looking forward to what you hear back. If you'd like any help in putting together a list of other smaller publishers that might be a good fit, I'd be happy to dig in a bit and get you some suggestions.
We're also looking at Chaosium, but any help in finding appropriate publishers would be much appreciated! Thanks so much for all you've done for this comic man.
Good luck with that, nothing bad in aiming high! A Choaosium publication would be amazing, very fitting; I have been a Call Of Cthulhu Keeper for several years, Chaosium is my favorite company, so many sweet memories! Have they done anything similar in the past? I've seen game books, boxed sets, novels, collections, but no comics, right? Time to change that, I hope.
I'm a fairly new keeper myself, but it would be a match made in heaven. As long as I got to keep the rights to my elder gods, it would be pretty cool to have them show up in a published scenario based on my comic!
