For the more historically minded of you, here is footage from one of the silent films we are representing in the background of our story:

In this clip, you can see Irene Castle in action. A dancer and actress who starred in her own series, "Patria". She's a figure near and dear to my heart, because she fell so in love with the city of Ithaca, that she ended up moving there, even after the Wharton Studio went bankrupt.

Our story, tragically, comes in at the end of the Wharton era of film making, so we find these historical figures at the end of their rope, making desperate decisions, and scrambling to keep the magic going...
