I'm so excited to share the beautiful artwork that we have coming up! I gotta be fair to the inks though, and allow them to have their chance to shine...

These panels, which utilize some excellent silhouettes, don't mind being in black and white. In fact a few people who have looked over my comic have asked me if I'd ever consider printing in black and white.

I would be happy to release the inks as perhaps some kind of special edition, but I wouldn't dream of dropping all the wonderful colors Theresa has worked into Ithaqa.

Since we've decided to go with the limited color palette, we also managed to use color to convey some very important things. I've mentioned in the past that I imagine the four major arcs of Ithaqa taking place during each of the four seasons, and that I want to have the color pallet shift to respond to each season. Another neat trick (that I unfortunately can't take credit for) is that Theresa very sparingly uses a true black ink when coloring each panel. She uses a dark burgundy, which has allowed us to create an awesome effect when dealing with Iss-Nagish's magic.

The darkest shadows in our comic are really a very very dark brown, but the quantum threads that make up the basis of Iss-Nagish's tapestry, are drawn with true black. This creates a wonderful visual in which the threads that hold our universe hostage are darker than darkness itself!
